I have been unable to play any music or podcasts. The player always shows the message 'can't play the current song' or sometimes it asks me to import the file if I have it on my laptop.

It has been more than 3 days and I have basically tried every solution I found on the forum, but my player won't play a track for more than 7 seconds. (Sometimes it's 5 or 10 or 14)

 

  1. I have tried the solution with the hosts file. (There was no issue there)
  2. I have cleared appdata
  3. I have installed and reinstalled spotify numerous times
  4. disabled/enabled hardware accelaration/local files

My webplayer works fine.

Thanks for reaching out to us about this! 

 

We suspect that there might be an issue with your network (even if the Spotify web player is working fine on the same network).

 

Just to be sure, do you mind trying to reset your network or, if that doesn't work, then trying on a different network altogether?

I tried that. Doesn't work on my home network or office network.

Could you try logging in with another (free) account and seeing if that changes anything?
