Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
If you're using the free version of Spotify on your phone, we can confirm this is expected. If the playlist/album you choose to listen to has less than 15 tracks, the app will automatically add songs. Keep in mind that this feature cannot be disabled.
You can go to the Now Playing view to tap (x) or (+) when those recommended tracks play. Clicking (+) the plus button adds songs to your Liked Songs playlist, and (x) hides them. This way, you can give the app feedback to improve the content the app recommends during your listening sessions:
The app works differently from the above on the desktop app and web player when using the free version.
