Changing songs in my pocket

I just recently got spotify premium and have been using it daily on my phone. However, I quickly noticed that my phone was skipping tracks while I was walking. Sat down it's fine and plays smoothly, it's just when I'm walking (which is a huge problem as I walk to work). I thought at first this was a problem with my phone, but now I'm not sure as when I use my default music player the problem no longer persists. If anyone is aware of this issue and has a solution then any help would be greatly appreciated.

P. S. My phone is a HTC One M8, if that helps in anyway?

Do you have headphones in when this happens? Try clearing out the headphones jack as sometimes dirt can get stuck in here creating a connection which can trick the phone into skipping.
