Connection issues on my Samsung Galaxy S4

Hardware/Software info:

-Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505

- Android 4.4.2

- Latest Spotify app

- Mobile operator: Simyo / E-Plus (Germany)

 

Hello,

 

I am using Spotify mainly outside. On my way to work etc..

I have observed that Spotify has huge problems with reconnects.

After a reconnect Spotify is not able to detect that the internect connection is back.

All other apps like my Browser, Facebook, Whatsapp etc. are working fine but Spotify is showing me always that there is no internet connection. It stops playing music and is not resuming buffering after the internet connection is back.

 

Spotify works again when I :

- Restart the app

or

- Switch my mobile to offline mode and switch it back to online mode

 

I have already cleared my cache and reinstalled the app. No chance, the issue is still there.

I'm dipping in and out of network deadspots quite frequently without issue.
