Constantly Having To Reinstall Spotify on Kindle Fire

Hi Folks - hope someone can help.
Every time I switch my Kindle Fire off I have to reinstall Spotify each and every time I start it up again.  Now - it doesn't take long but it's really annoying.  This issue has only just started (past two-three weeks).
I've looked for updates etc but there doesn't appear to be anything amiss.Could it be my Kindle Fire is becoming obsolete (all other apps appear to be working exactly as before and Spotify works perfectly once reinstalled).
Thanks in advance
Tim

Hey @timwootton,

Help's arrived! Does the Spotify App seem as though it's being deleted every time you turn off your device, or does the app stop working? Also, what version of Spotify are you using, and what OS version are you running?

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Tim
Thanks so much for replying.
Here's what happens when I switch the Kindle Fire on: Starts up, touch
Spotify icon, it makes as if going to load then closes down. So (on
the advice of my 16 year old daughter (where would we be without
them??) go to Spotify in my apps; delete it from device then re-
install. Works perfectly . . . until next time I switch the Kindle
on.
Operating System? - Kindle Fire (an early-ish one) - I don't have it
here in the office. I can get my teenage techie to look this evening
🙂
Your thoughts are very welcome.
Cheers
Tim

Thanks for that, @timwootton!

Does doing a clean reinstall help? Find out how by going here: https://support.spotify.com/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/ > Android!
