Downloaded songs won't play continuously in Search mode any more?

I used to go into Offline mode, search for an artist whose songs I've downloaded, and Shuffle play them all.  Now, Spotify will play only one song and then stops.  This has been a problem for a few weeks.  How can I fix this?

The songs are downloaded to different Playlists I've created.   I can Shuffle play a Playlist without problems.  The problem only occurs in Search mode.

I've double-checked that Gapless play is on, and I've tried with Shuffle on and off. I have the Premium plan and use the Spotify app on an Android phone.
