Downloading playlist to external SD card? HOW

When I am downloading a playlist for offline listening I want to save it on my external SD card. I have a Samsung S3 with Android.

Uninstall the latest app, reinstall the old version, set path to your external SD, update app from market to latest version, then grab pitchfork and join the rest of us who are wondering why they removed this setting in the latest version.

App has been re-designed. SD card option was removed in the process.

Workaround is to downgrade the Spotify Android client to 0.4.12.180

Some Android phones have both internal storage devided in two: System and USB Storage. SD card would be the 3rd storage medium. Make sure what the SD card path is to set it.

Download the APK file.

- Enable third part apps in Settings.
- Install the APK file

- While at the login screen, press the hardware Menu key and select SD Location.

- Enter the path to a folder on the SD card.

Many of the Samsung Devices indicate it as shown in the picture.

Spotify will then store tracks in this folder:
/mnt/sdcard/external_sd/Android/Data/com.spotify.mobile.android.ui

- Log in with the old version of the client.

- Go to the Google Play Store.

- Upgrade to the current version of the client.

You can now clear the old cache if any, from the devices internal memory.

Your done!

If the old version doesn't work - then there isn't much that can be done.
