Failure moving data to SD card

My Question or Issue

My phone ran out of juice and shut itself down. Every **bleep** time this occurs all spotify data have been moved to internal storage, making it packed.

As usual I change storage location in the spotify app, and the moving process starts.. After a couple of minutes or so I get a error message saying there might be something wrong with my SD card, and aks me to check my permissions.

I can confirm that spotify holds storage permissions.

What should I try now?

Hey again, guys @Tharayman @Martin114

Sorry for the late response...

Now, I'd like to ask you to try to perform a clean reinstallation of the app on your devices. Notice that it's different than the quick reinstallation, so you can get help with it here.

In the meanwhile, could you check if is there enough space into your SD cards? Spotify needs at least 1GB free.

And finally, you can get more pieces of information or other tips you should give it a try here in this related support article:

If you have any other further questions or need more help, let me know! I'd love to help!

Hey, @Tharayman
Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!

Try to remove your SD Card and then put it back in your phone and try to transfer your songs to it again.

Great idea. But did not work.

I have same issue on Sony Xperia XZ Premium with Android 9. Storage permission is set and I have no issues to copy photos videos on SD card or read data from card.

Hello,
card is 128 GB and there is enough free space. When I was triggere moving
for SD card it appears that it was really copying as progress bar was
slowly progressing. But at the end error was shown.

But Ive solved it by reinstalling application, setting storage to SD card
(which passed without issue as there was nothing to copy) and than download
all songs again. Not a convenient way, but works.

Thanks,
Martin
