Google clock alarm always plays first track of playlist

My Question or Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use a specific spotify playlist (a daily news podcast) as my alarm using the Google clock app feature.

However, spotify always plays the first track added to the podcast, whereas I'd obviously prefer the last one to be played.

Is there a way to get this? I already tried changing the sorting of the playlist in spotify but this doesn't matter.
