Greyed out music when SD card music deleted

Dear all

I had music saved on my SD card (nothing to do with spotify) but the app added them to my playlist (i guess i had added them at some point but it found the music on my sd card, so used that instead of downloading it).

However, to free space I deleted all music on my SD card and now the songs on spotify are greyed out, rather than just downloading it from the spotify servers. Its a bit irritating!

How do I get the songs to download from spotify rather than being greyed out?

I have a samsung note 3 with kitkat 4.4

Spotify can't access music files stored on your SD card, so deleting music shouldn't have had any effect.

What error message do you get when you tap a track?

It simply says "this track is not available". Some songs actually aren't on Spotify but others are (eg adele). It only happens when I delete the physical songs from my SD card

If they where added to the playlist as local files on your desktop Spotify, you may need to sync those files over to your device by connecting your phone and desktop Spotify to the same WiFi network.
