How do I change the Daily Drive playlist? The news changes, but the songs haven't changed.

The Daily Drive news changes, but the songs don't. Day in, day out, the SAME music. I'm getting tired of it. How do I refresh or change it?

We always aim to improve, so we’ll make sure that we cover your concerns as we speak about these changes internally.

Our developers are already looking into ways to mix up the music within the Daily Drive playlist so it'll update with more variety, but just as a heads up, we're not able to provide an exact timeline for this. If we have any further info, we'll let you know.

It can’t just be that. I have been listening to random shuffle on my thousands of “Liked” songs, even when not paying attention, for MONTHS to try to get one drop of diversity in my daily drive— It’s literally still the EXACT SAME 10 SONG every single day in a different order. Sometimes it shuffles around between the same 20. Apparently skipping before 30 seconds is supposed to subvert it going into the algorithm and I skip every song immediately to get to the podcasts, often before they can even play. Spotify has just become a compounded trashfire of consistently increasing dysfunction & removed features without customer service beyond “did you restart it” and then getting gaslit.

I agree. It should just create a playlist out of the over 9,000 songs I have 'Liked'. Somehow songs I don't like today on a daily basis. 

I delete my cache on a daily basis, yet still the same songs play every day.

I've liked over 1000 songs since becoming a Premium subscriber. However, the app chooses to include the same handful of songs in my Daily Drive each day. The news items change each day but the 'Songs Remain The Same' (so to speak). I am unable to find any features within the app to permit me to elect to have a greater variety of BOTH my liked songs and songs chosen by Spotify based upon my recent listening habits, is there anything that you can do on Spotify's side to alter the algorithm for the Daily Drive so that I can hear more variety each day in my Daily Drive?

Why isn't anyone replying to this message? I have the exact same problem and according to some threads on here, we're far from being the only ones. In another thread the subject is marked as solved (clear the cache) but this solution hasn't worked for me.

I'm getting really tired of listening to my Daily Drive, I've got to the point where I only listen to the podcasts and skip all the songs. They are the exact same songs every day, they never change (except maybe the order of the songs). I'm already fed up with the false shuffles on Spotify (even if I shuffle my liked songs, somehow some songs are played all the time - which makes me tired of listening to them now - and some are never played), now this with the Daily Drive... It's become more of a pain than a pleasure to use this app, I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my subscription.

I listen to the Daily Drive app everyday and the music doesn't change ever. I cleared the cache in the app and made sure I wasn't in offline mode and it's not changing. The podcasts update daily but not the music.

  I love this feature, but the rate at which my daily drive list changes is maddeningly slow, so I increasingly do a lot of "Next Track" while on my daily drive.  It's been almost three years since your reply; has any progress or even an ETA been made?

When the LA Times podcast was discontinued in May 2023, the host, Gustavo Arrellano, gave a ~2.5 minute “goodbye” episode thanking listeners and listing the entire crew by name. This message has now appeared in my DD playlist >120 times. I hate it. I’ve tried recommendations from this thread, clearing the cache, deleting downloads, logging out, deleting/re-installing. No luck. Any updates?

This didn't help. Same songs since three years ago.

The least I could do was "Hide the song" on the actual day list reproduction. But tomorrow will hate my Daily Drive all over again.

I improved my algorithm in an intense way, after reading an older article in Forbes (I think). I “unliked” ALL MY SONGS. I have a playlist that I call my Likes, but I don’t have a single ❤️ song. This has immeasurably improved my suggestions. Daily Drive has even updated (although it still isn’t good, like it used to be).

I already did that. And fun fact: my grandma came to visit three days, so, we listen to mexican old music for three days... and now, hehehe (not funny mode), I have Javier Solis singing after Disturbed followed by Andrea Bocelli and trust me: that s*cks.😑
