If I cancel my premium

If I cancel my premium

I used to have Premium and I had saved all my music to my device's SD card. I recently cancelled my premium and the music is still on my card, so am I using data now to listen to the same songs?

Hey there @Ijustwannajam!

If the music is downloaded, then no, you will not be using the data. A good way to check is to set Spotify to offline use or just put your phone on Airplane mode and try to listen. Keep in mind that if you cancelled your subscription, this music is likely to disappear soon as Offline music is reserved for Spotify Premium, not Free.

Cheers!

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?

Thanks, I turned of my data while music was playing and the next song wouldn't start even though it was displayed on the screen.

Yep, that would mean that offline access had been removed due to the Free Subscription instead of Premium.

If you'd like to get Premium again, check out the Spotify for Students - www.spotify.com/student and Spotify Family www.spotify.com/family if either of those might apply to you.

Cheers!
