I'm not using android but having a general question abt Last FM, scrobbling and this Spotify which later came into the picture. My questions in red color. Gotta be expert in everything today, or ask.
Started to use Last FM on laptop 2006. In the beginning of 2013 it was all over. I don't remember why, but I think Sweden was included to a list of banned nations by some reason (guess what!). Only some countries where allowed by Last FM. So I could forget listenting to Radio FM. Started with Spotify – a solution all my Swedish friends recommended. It was not how I wanted it; the Last FM way do discover new artists in my favorite genres had given me a lot of pleasure and friends.
But Spotify was OK when I get used to it. In some ways better than Last FM. Then I went to Indonesia for 4 months, but get stuck there 10 months in this pseudo-democracy where only 6 religions are allowed. Not Bahá'í. Neither Judaism, most Christian groups which are not Catholic or Lutheran. (Don't think Bali is that fantastic. It's over-tourismisized and 4,5 million motorbikes on a population 2,5 million). At least I get married to a wonderful woman, the best. The wedding night we... well, back to the question.
Even if I had paid for 3 months Spotify they closed me down after some weeks on Bali. Only some countries are allowed by Spotify. So I had to listen to my 3000 songs downloaded to my computer. That worked to.
Back in Sweden I had to find an apartment. After moving to a new place, unpacked, organized what I could organize, I started to look for my old Internet radio station. Found out yesterday that Sweden is allowed again by Last FM. They want me to play with Windows Media Player or I-Tunes to get my listening scrobbled. But if I play a song with last FM it's played by Spotify. And on a line in top of the Spotify page it's written "Unable to log in to the Last FM Scrobbling Server".
I have no idea what to do to get my listening scrobbled. And who is scrobbling it? Why is Spotify involved anyway?

I haven't even been able to hook Spotify up with Last Fm.
In Spotify's options you can chose
In Spotify's settings, you can select connect to Last FM. You must enter a username and password for your LastFM there (not your password and username for Spotify!). I use the same username and password for both of them, so I have one less thing to remember.
With Success Greetings

Thanks. Will look for settings.
Unfortunately I can't find any place on Spotify that says "Connect to Last Fm". Don't see this in "My settings" and don't know of any other place on Spotify that is called "settings".
I have tried to follow Spotify instructions on how to connect to Last Fm, which includes an instruction to click edit in the menu bar, but don't see any menu bar to even do that.
