Mobile Phone and Desktop App - How to disconnect?

Hi there,

I have been searching the board for this but did not find anything related. My apologies if I overlooked it ...

Is there a way to stop my phone app (on Samsung S7) to be synchronized with my desktop app (both Windows and Mac)? An example: I am listening to an audiobook on my mobile phone. During work I listen to music on my desktop app. When I go back to my phone it automatically continues the music I have listened to on my desktop and my audiobook is gone (and I of course do not remember the chapter ;)

I have no problems that the phone app stops while the desktop plays, but I'd be happy to have what was currently playing just being paused instead of removed for the other content.
