Music skipping and stopping

For a few months now my music will stop playing about 5 seconds after i put a song on. It says its playing when theres no music plcoming out. I have to pause it wait 10 seconds then hit play and sometimes it will play for a little bit then stop again. I made sure it wasnt my phone. I uninstalled Spotify and reinstalled it and still it stops. I like putting it thru my stereo when driving using my bluetooth. Is anyone else experiencing this frustrating issue?

Hello. It would be helpful to have details of your device, android version and spotify version.

I have a ZTE Grand 4 with Android 6.0.1. I have the latest version of Spotify thru Google play

Have you excluded spotify from power saving? There's a long thread on this in one of the ZTE support forums which might help.
