My TV is unavailable until i start the app from the TV itself.


Hi.

Back in the good old days 😜 I could start my Spotify app from my Sony phone, and by playing a track my Samsung TV popped up in the "Devices Available" list.
I recently got a new phone (Huawei), and now this doesn't work.... Only by starting the app from my TV, I get it on the list. This kinda bugs me... Is there anyone here who has a a clue?

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community!

 

The first thing to try is making sure that both your TV and Huawei device are rocking the latest software versions available. If you don't know how to do that, check with your devices’ manufacturers for how to update the version software. 

 

You can also make sure that the Spotify app is up-to-date on your Huawei device.

 

If these don't do the trick and you're still having troubles seeing your TV on the Connect picker, we'd recommend trying the steps provided in this support site article.
