Not working: Downloading local music files from my pc to play on mobile Spotify.

My Question or Issue

 Hi

I have some songs I have on my pc I want to be able to play inside the Spotify app on my mobile phone. These are songs that are not available on Spotify.

I have read the manual about how to add local files and read other posts about the process as well but I'm still having issues. 

This is what I did:

I added a new Playlist on my PC Spotify.

I added local songs from my computer to this Playlist. 

I have both the PC Spotify and the mobile app on my phone on the same wifi network. 

I have enabled network discovery on my PC. 

I have allowed Spotify through windows firewall (tried turning it off as well).

I opened the Playlist on my mobile app and the songs were listed in gray. 

I turned on download but the app state its "waiting to download" and stays that way.

When I disconnect Spotify mobile from my PC I can't listen to the songs. 

What am I missing? And why is this so hard?

Hello @ShaiEzra!

What usually works is creating a hotspot connection with you mobile, connecting your computer to that network and turning on the Download switch in the mobile app for the playlist that you want to sync.
