My Question or Issue
When I try to scan the Spotify code like shown in the screen recording nothing happens and I get sent back to the search menu. I let other people try this and another person with a smartphone from Xiaomi also has this problem. On two other Samsungs and one iPhone it works totally fine. Can someone explain, why it works for some but not for others? Is there an A/B testing going on?

I'm having the same issue using the same calendar, looks like it started on or about the same day. I've done all the same fixes that tomicx has to no avail.

I did more testing and found that logged into my account on a iphone 13 pro max the scan feature worked for my account. Still does not work om my phone. My wife account logged into my phone the scan feature works for her account. I hope this helps.

My Question or Issue
When I tried scanning a song code, it just goes back and no song plays. I've used two devices already, both with the same results. I've uninstalled the app and downloaded it again, also the same results. I was wondering if this is related to my account, which is a Premium Student, since when I tried using another account (Free), the song codes worked. The photo attached are the codes I used.
Seems that the behaviour of the app does not affect iOS then and should be limited to android.

Same problem here, goes for all codes I have tried.
The code is recognized and the phone vibrates but nothing comes up in the Spotify app.

I have the same issue with my code. It used to work on my old device now it does not work on either of my samsung devices.
Same problem here, scanning on Android 14 (Fairphone 5) does not work, but it works on Android 13 (Fairphone 4).
I have the same issue,
codes work fine on my wife's phone and my son's.
The camera opens and it scans but it just returns to the app without opening the song.
I have done an os update, clear cache, uninstall spotify and reinstall to no effect.
I will try logging in with my wife's account and check if it works later today to see if it is account related.

I have the exact same problem. Tested on my Pixel 9 Pro and my old Pixel 7 Pro. Must be an account issue.
The only difference between my account and the accounts from the rest of the family is that I'm the one that is subscribed to Spotify Premium Family.

My wifes phone has the same problem, when she is logged in with her user.
When I log in with my user it works.
We have a Premium Duo subscription, but she logs in with FaceBook, where I use a mailaccount.
The problem can't be caused by logging in via Facebook because I also have the problem but I use my E-Mail to log in.

Yes it's working again. Now i can start flipping calendar pages again.
Mine scans but doesn't play the song like it used to do.
It is working for me again ... feels kinda slow (but that might just be a feeling), but it works.

Hi when i scan my code it brings up the song but the song doesn't automatically play.

@tomicx, unfortunately, we don't have any info about the performance at the moment, we can only confirm that a fix was implemented. Thanks for flagging though, we really appreciate the feedback!
@Hl07maz, are you on the free service or do you have a Premium plan? If you're on the free service, it's expected that the song won't start autoplaying, since this is sort of an on demand feature, which is only included in Premium plans.
@Pr77Pr77, @Dr_Dupont, can you let us know if updating your app or performing a clean reinstall fixes the issue on your end?
