My Question or Issue
The disappearing Now Playing Bar that happened back in April is back! I can restart the app and it works for a while. Then the play controls bar disappears. Only way to stop it playing is to force stop the app!

(Temporary?) Fix that worked was deleting app and reinstalling app.

In the meantime, can you try doing the workaround posted @Tom0527. Follow the instructions in his post and let us know if that helped at all.

I followed the clean and uninstall procedure. I do not have permission to access android/data so could not delete specified Spotify data file. After reinstalling I am still having the problem. My guess is that a recent Spotify today reintroduced the previously resolved problem.

I've had this problem for at least 6 months. Spotify have been an absolute disgrace, offering no fix, or no discount for the trouble. Do you guys realise how frustrating it is to be out for a run or listening to a podcast and the play/pause etc function disappears? Why should customers be paying premium Rate for this service? Loyalty clearly not valued.
I am also having this problem for past 7 days or so. So frustrating!
