My Question or Issue

I'm using Spotify free on my mobile to listen to shuffled playlists. However , whenever a long track (I.e. More than 10-15 mins long ) is being played, the playback stops as soon as the the track playback reaches the end. After that, nothing at all happens! Neither the playback progresses to the next shuffled track of the playlist nor can I manually skip it. I can navigate just fine through the app but somehow I cannot carry on listening to that very same playlist unless I force close the app through android's settings.

Is this behaviour expected or should I report it as a bug?

Any input or advice appreciated. Many thanks!

Hey @Londino!

Sorry for any frustration. Please go ahead and follow these steps:

  1. Try a soft reset (Power off, then power your device back on)
  2. If that doesn’t help, uninstall, then reinstall the app.

Let me know how this goes 🙂 have an awesome day!

Hello again,

Soft reset didn't work. I couldn't uninstall the app either since it came
pre - installed on my handset. All I could do was to downgrade it to an
older version but that didn't solve the issue either.

I've also established that the above behaviour happens with tracks longer
than 10 minutes, which I believe is the cutoff point at which Spotify free
injects ads. Maybe that's got something to do with it?

Do you have any other suggestions I could try or should I escalate this as
a bug?

Thanks!

Can u say something about a https://mrecorder.com/ mobile recorder on Android? How does it work with other applications?
