Playing via Bluetooth in car (Skoda) meta data always showing previous song after skipping

My Question or Issue

On Android 7, playing Spotify via bluetooth in car Skoda Superb 2016, I can see the metadata without problems. But after upgrade to Android 8, when skipping back or forward to next song the previous metadata is always shown. I have done many things (uninstalled, cleared cache etc.) trying to solve this issue but come up with the conclusion it's the Spotify app that's the cause. When using Apple Music or Google Play Music the metadata is showing fine!
