Hello, i have an issue with spotify app version 9.1.6.1145 on android (samsung galaxy)
It was working just fine, suddenly the messages no longer appear (messages could not be loaded, please try again) and it keeps on saying (something went wrong) whenever i try to share a song. I tried reinstalling the app, did everything but nothing works. how can i fix the issue ?
Hi there @demi5684,
Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you use the messages and share the music freely.
You said it worked before, did it stop working after a specific event, such as an update to the app or the device? If you've only tried a regular reinstall, try a clean reinstall instead, as that can resolve a lot more issues. If you use any kind of VPN, disable it as it may be interfering with proper communication.
Let us know how it goes.
Actually, I tried to delete a message that was sent by mistake in a chat, and immediately after, a notification appeared saying “Something went wrong.” Following that, all my chats disappeared. I logged into my account from another phone and encountered the same issue. However, when I created a new account and logged in from my phone, I was able to send messages normally. This suggests that the problem is likely specific to my account and not the device itself..
Thanks for the clarification @demi5684.
There's actually other users in this thread that recently also reported issues with Messages after having deleted content from there. The relative team is aware of this and the issue should've been fixed by now, however, since you're still experiencing it, it'd be very helpful if you could send us your phone's exact model, as well as the Android-version. We'll then make sure to forward your details.
We're here in the meantime if anything else comes up.
Thank you for your reply. the issue occurred on both a Galaxy S24 Ultra (android 16) and a Samsung (Android 13). Until this moment the messages are still unfunctional.
Im having the same issue. I can't share music.. I have android s24 as well
The messages are not functioning at all.. I cleared cache, uninstall and reinstalled, nothing is working
Hello @ivelina , any updates on the issue please?
Im still having issues
Hi there @demi5684 and @Rose1988
Thanks for keeping in touch!
We've received some updates from our internal teams and this should be fixed for now, but keep in mind the permanent fix would appear in upcoming versions.
Make sure to have your device and Spotify app updated. If the issue is still present, send us the Spotify version you're currently running to investigate further.
Keep us posted!
Hello Novy, the chats are back on the android 13 (however the texts cannot be deleted, that issue has not been solved yet). Meanwhile the s24 is still having the same problem despite it having the latest version of Spotify.
