Shazam no longer offers "play in spotify" on Droid - replacement app suggestion?

 I need a sound detection service, like Shazam that will allow me to identify a song that is playing and open it (or better yet "star" it) in Spotify. My Shazam android app used to do this and I used it all the time  but Shazam customer support just confirmed in an email that they removed it. I am wondering if Spotify (or Shazam) forced that removal for one of their world domination desires!? Regardless, is there any mobile app (perhaps Spotify app!?) that provides this feature? I am about to switch to ios so hope it will work there too.

Soundhound came pre-installed on my One X and has been kept upgraded. I just tried it and it worked... although it took a couple of attempts, but on the second one the Play In Spotify option did start the song
