Something I can't work out to do with Local Files...is it even possible?

So I have a few artists on my itunes who aren't on Spotify (Chance the Rapper) and a few other albums from artists spotify doens't have.

I have sycned them via playlists to my android device, but how do I get them to appear in the "Artist" section on the "Your music" tab.

So for instance, I have followed Fall Out Boy and all their albums, which is great. To access I just go "Your music" -> "Artists" -> "Fall Out Boy". However, Spotify doesn't have their first album. So I synced the first album to my Android Device via playlist, but now how do I get it so their first album shows with the rest of there's under their artist page in "Your Music"

When I press the tick next to the songs I get a brief "Added to your music" message but this doesn't seem to do anything...

I was told by a couple of friends before I got premium this was possible but I don't see how to do it.

If the artist or album is not on spotify I don't think its possible but I could be wrong , hope this helps.

You cannot use the SPotify app to play files stored locally on your Android device. You must sync these from a desktop Please read the support topic here for assistance setting up local file sync: Listen to local files

Make sure that you are on the same WiFi network and Windows & third party firewalls are configured to allow the Spotify connection through.

Another point to note is that sometimes if a track is stored locally & is also available to stream then when you sync to your device it will automatically use the Spotify streaming version but the data from your playlist. If for some reason the metadata such as track length differs this can cause conflict and break the track. In this instance you are best off removing the local file from your playlist on the desktop and adding the track from the Spotify server then re-sync. This should fix this issue.
