Song info freezes in car / music continues to play when disconnecting Bluetooth

My Question or Issue

Whenever I play Spotify through Bluetooth the song info freezes both on the phone, and the dashboard of my car.  Music will continue to play normally, but it will never update to the current song.  Only thing that fixes it is reinstalling.  Additionally, when this is happening, when I turn off my car, the music continues to play through my phone and I have to go in to Spotify and tap the play/pause button several times to get it to stop.

We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread. That a reinstall solves the issue shows that the problem most likely is caused by something interfering with the apps cache.

We recommend that you perform a clean reinstall using these steps. They are more thorough and ensure that no corrupted files remain. You should then make sure that Spotify is added as an exception to all cache clearing apps. Keep in mind that even if you haven't downloaded such apps, some devices have them preinstalled.
