Songs and playlists won't play

When I select a song, it turns green like it wants to play but nothing happens and when I try to select it again, it won't open or play. This is really frustrating because I'm paying for it and it isn't working. It's doing this on random playlists and ones I've created myself.

sounds a bit cliche, but try restarting the application. if that doesn't work, make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi or data connection or the song is downloaded before playing it.
