My Question or Issue

On Spotify mobile, I can no longer play any songs and my entire like songs playlist is completely gone.

 

On desktop the problem doesn't exist.

 

So far, I have done clean reinstalls, clear caches, and tried making playlists, and liking new songs. If anyone could give suggestions as to what I could do, that would be appreciated.

Hey @jimjammmm11,

 

Thank you for your post. We're sorry to hear about this.

 

In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This is different than a quick reinstall and could be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

 

If you have an SD card we suggest that you uninstall the app > turn off your phone > take out your SD card > turn on the phone again (without the SD card) > reinstall the app.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. 

 

For some reason the file you tried to upload didn't attach to your reply. 

 

Could you try uploading it again so we can have a look and investigate this further?

Thanks for keeping in touch and for the screenshot.

 

Could you try logging out, closing the app, and logging back in while using a different connection, like mobile data or another WiFi network?

 

Also, could you try logging in to your account on another mobile device and let us know if there's any difference?

 

If possible, try logging in to another account, like a friend's or relative's on your phone and let us know if the issue persists. It would help us narrow down the possible cause of this.

Hi thanks for the response back.

 

Logging in with 4g didnt change anything. That said it works fine with my asus tablet and my laptop.

 

My tablet is currently on android version 6, and my phone is at version 9

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

 

We'd like to check the possibility that you're logging in to a different account on your phone and that's the reason why your Liked Songs are missing. We recommend that you go through the steps in this guide and run a search for possible secondary accounts. If you find any, there are also instructions on how to close them to avoid further confusion.

Hi thanks for the response, I checked into that possibility and both have the same email. I even made a playlist on my phone to check and it still showed up on the laptop as well.

 

I did notice that the username displayed is different despite email, saved playlists and songs are the same.

 

Hopefully this provides a lot more information.

Thanks for getting back to us.

 

It's possible that there might be a syncing issue with your account. Could you please create a free one here and like a few songs on all devices over a a couple days? If the information on your laptop, tabled and phone synch properly, you can use the steps here to transfer your music collection.
