Sound cutting off after 1 second on phone

I'm running Spotify on my Samsung Galaxy Prime and sometimes when a new song begins it will play for 1 second and then the sound will disappear. It continues if I skip to different songs and only seems to stop if I reset the app, although it isn't guaranteed and is testing my patience.

Sometimes it will continue for only a few moments and return to playing normally but it's lately been taking up to 5 minutes to return to normal.

To start, can you let us know what operating system, and Spotify version you're using?

Does it help if you restart your network connection or use a different one? Does this happen when streaming only or also with your downloaded tracks (just in case you have Offline Mode).

I suggest you try a clean reinstall and see if it helps. This usually fixes most problems.

Note: This will remove any saved offline tracks and cache.
