Sound quality Samsung S4 and Samsung Note 3

Hi

A weird issue i have noticed on samsung phones. 

If i use google music or the built in music player on the phone, the sound quality is WAY better. Its louder and seems to have way better sound quality. The equaliser does work on spotify but doesnt bring it anywhere near the loudness/ quality of using say google music / samsung player.

is there an update for spotify in the works that will change this?

Really, this puts me off spotify and is making me consider moving to "google play music" just to have the higher quality sound on my phone. At the moment, its a bit weak (very weak)

Try disabling the equalizer entirely. And if that doesn't work you could always use something like Music Volume EQ until the problem is corrected.
