My Question or Issue

Since the Android update to Android PIE I am not able to use the Spotify widget. It just displays a message saying "error while loading the widget".

Hey @ffabss, help's arrived!

Could you try logging out > restart the device > log back in? Let me know if that makes a difference.

The Android home screen widget is no longer available - and there is an official announcement about this on the Community here.

Tried to remove and place them again.

 

Can it be connected to launcher? (Using Nova)

If the steps @Billy-J suggested above didn't do the trick, we'd suggest trying a clean reinstall of the app on your device following the steps provided in this Spotify Answer

Hi,

 

I had the same problem on my OnePlus 5T phone after a software update I did recently. I performed a clean reinstall of the app but still the Spotify widget does not pop up for me. Any help on this?
