Spotify freezes on android when advertisement starts

Samsung Android 6.0.1

Whenever any advertisement starts the app just freezes. can't do anything. have to restart the whole phone.

Already reinstalled.

Probably has to do with the new Android update ... I just did it today and now my Spotify wont work...

Having the same problem.

Everytime the ad comes up there's nothing to be played, all black, can't skip back to menu but the Pause/Play button can be seen. Have to turn my device off and on again. Hope this will get fixed soon!
