Spotify starts after pop up ads or phone alarm goes off

I feel like I may be the only person with this issue right now. Just to get it out of the way I have a S7 Edge all apps and the phone are updated. The issue is if I am playing a game or even if my alarm clock goes off, Spotify starts playing music from where I left off previously. This happens after the ad has finished or after I shut off the alarm and it is instant. This just started yesterday but I have had to shut spotify off about 6 times in that 24 hours. Just in case, I do have a task killer and doesn't seem to help.

You're definitely not alone - there have been quite a few posts about spotify playing after finishing a call, alarm and on other occasions. scan through the forum posts ar search to find fellow sufferers. And no, I have no idea what's causing this or how to fix it, sorry. I was wondering if the issue is connected in some way to this thread.

I am going to assume not, only because I only have spotify on my phone and
no other devices.

I saw that post and similar which is why I posted mine. I felt it was a
slightly different issue since that issue is related to 2 different
devices.

I did just do an uninstall/reinstall, so I will see what happens with that.
