Spotify stopped working on my lock screen after the Lolipop update.

Spotify's music will play when my screen times out, but when it comes to the lock screen, i have no controls. No fastforward, play button, no skip, not even a song title. Just the album cover. This is extremely annoying as I want to be able to control this in my car without having to unlock it and it worked perfectly before the lolipop update. I have tried reinstalling it and tried the common lolipop fix. No luck. Help. I don't want to crash my car trying to change a song.

If the information is important, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5.

Same here on Xperia Z3 Compact...

I have already tried this thing with notifications but it doesnt work....just album cover. Reinstalling doesnt work. Worked well with 4.4....now it's broken.

I`m all time android user but 5.0 force me to iOS...that sucks...

Try to reboot your phone.

Also you can try this.

Go to Settings > Sound & Notifications > App Notifications > Spotify > slide all toggles to off
