Spotify switching devices to phone over BT when I use the microphone on phone (Android 12)

In the morning: in Room A start playing Spotify on web browser over a BT speaker connected to the computer (the company doesn't allow Spotify desktop)

Later: in Room B connect a BT speaker to my Android 12 phone. Start playing music over Spotify. 

Later: back in Room A, change devices to play over the web browser

A little while later: in Room A use the phone's microphone to do some speech to text. When I do this Spotify will for some reason change devices from the web browser in Room A to the phone, which is connected to the BT speaker in Room B still. 

TLDR: when I use the microphone on my phone Spotify changes the output device, suddenly the music starts playing in another room

Thanks for the post.

What you might want to try is to deny Spotify access to your microphone from your phone's permissions settings.
