Tracks on a Playlist starting 15 seconds in

Over the last 2 days, tracks on one of my Playlists are starting 15 seconds or so in. They finish a few seconds early too.

I can't seem to attach my screenshot of my settings but All my Track Transitions and Listening Control settings are off.

Thanks.

edit: I've just seen an "Auto" option next to my tracks, clicking which seems to indicate the crossover and skipping of parts of the song. I'm not meaning to be rude but I can't fathom, if this is what is causing it, why Spotify would make this a default option. It says it's in Beta. If this is the issue, how do I turn it off? Again, to be blunt, it seems like a very silly option to deploy automatically.

Hi there @JohnFromTheAntipodes,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you take advantage of our new features.

From what you've described, it sounds like you're looking at the new Mix feature. As you might have figured out, this allows you to create transitions between songs in playlists. Now, this shouldn't be enabled by default, but don't worry, you can just turn it off from the button at the very top of the playlist. Try that and let us know if all the songs start and end correctly now.

Of course, if you have any further feedback about the feature, we'd be happy to hear it.

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks Joan.

I can't see a button at the top of my playlist.

I have the picture, download, add someone (?)/share(?), the 3 vertical dots, shuffle and play.

I Just saw a "Mix" button highlighted underneath. Could this be it?

Screenshot before me deselecting it with "Auto" shown under the tracks: https://ibb.co/yBGPdBK1

Thanks.

Hey @JohnFromTheAntipodes,

Thanks for getting back to us and for your feedback.

As @Joan mentioned, it does sound like the Mix feature is the culprit here, but this is not enabled by default. You should be able to deactivate it at any time by tapping the Mix button at the top of the playlist again. You can read more about this feature here.

Hope this sheds some light on the matter. The Community will be here if anything else comes up.

Cheers!
