Turn off Scrobbling for songs played as alarms?

Premium on the latest Android, in the US, if that matters.

Title says most of it - is there any way to turn off Last.FM Scrobbling specifically for songs used as alarms through the Android clock app? Even if there's something specific to recognize which songs are used as alarms through the API (or one of the APIs?), that would be helpful in order to find a way to do it programmatically.

I'm an avid snoozer, and I always feel bad about myself whenever I need to delete 10 scrobbled songs :')

Hey there folks,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Currently there is no way to select which songs get scrobbled over to Last.FM. You can disable this function entirely if you wish, check out this article for more info. However since this is a concern with a third party app, we cannot say if something like this would be implemented as an option in the future. You can head over to Last.Fm's support page and voice your ideas there as well.

If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board on the Spotify Community, just in case. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented :slightly_smiling_face:

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
