Unable to search by artist in android auto

My Question or Issue

When connecting to my car using full link, I cannot search by artist, it doesn't do anything and times out. Searching by album is ok however. Any ideas

First, could you try reinstalling both the Spotify app and the Android Auto app, making sure to clear all app data in the process?  You can see the instructions for Spotify in this support article.

If that doesn't work, then could you provide us with some more info and let us know how you are using Spotify in your car? Do you have an in-car multimedia system, or do you control the music in your car via Bluetooth/Connect?
