Will syncing my own music 'offline' use up all my phone's memory?

Will syncing my own music 'offline' use up all my phone's memory?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I don't quite understand how 'offline' mode works in terms of storage.

I imported all the music I had on my PC into 'Local files' in Spotify. I then wanted to make a lot of this available offline on my mobile (HTC wildfire) as I would definitely go over my data limit if I streamed music on my phone.

However I'm worried that if I make over 1000 tracks available offline it's going to clog up my phone's memory and generally cause problems. Is this right? Or is it not really stored like that?

I couldn't find a way of only syncing some of my 'local files' to my android if that would help. Does anyone know of a way of doing this?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Yes they get stored on the phone's memory. You can find out how much memory you have free in a number of ways - through the Spotify options menu or through Android's own system settings menus.

If you only want some of your music copied across then best bet is to do it yourself - plug in with USB and drag and drop the files
