Won't let me sign in to my account on my Android phone due to offline account

My phone won't let me sign in to my account when I try to sign into it in my phone. When I try to sign in It says "You are currently set to offline; Please go online to connect to Spotify" I havent had my account offline for longer than 5-6 days. Can anyone help?

This does not work "When you get the Please go online to connect to Spotify, just hit cancel > delete password > re-enter pw > log in. Any other solutions?

Typical - post a "solution" which doesn't work and close the bug topic.

Try reinstalling spotify following these steps. That should work but let me know if it doesn't.
