My Question or Issue
Mobile connected via Bluetooth (not android auto with cable, only Bluetooth).
Music plays from Spotify. The title and the artwork cover in the first track play well. In the next one, the title changes but the artwork cover remains the same as the previous one. On the 3rd track, you see title name change normally of the 3rd track but artwork cover of the 2nd. You move on to the next one and so on.
With another player everything works fine.
But since I'm very comfortable with Spotify, I'm struggling to make it work properly. I found some tips for changing the Bluetooth avrcp and battery optimization, but it's useless. The only thing I managed to do is not to show the artwork cover to any player by changing the Bluetooth avrcp but with the song titles changing correctly. In order to show the artwork cover it needs to have Bluetooth profile avrcp 1.6.
The infotainment of the car should not be to blame. It's most likely a Spotify bug after some update that I didn't hear about. It definitely has something to do with the Bluetooth avrcp profiles and how Spotify transfers the metadata to the car's infotainment.
In other players of my mobile the artwork cover changes normally. Like something sticks and stays in the artwork of the previous song while the next one is playing. It transfers the metadata, but laterally.
Is there any solution because it is very frustrating? I am very comfortable with Spotify and would not like to remove it.
Thanks in advance

Looking at the "Top answer" from the moderator of the chat and seeing the answer is almost 1 year old, I think it is safe to assume that Spotify cannot fix this issue. Just use Apple Carplay or Android Auto guys.
When I play an MP3 from my phone, the car displays the album art just fine. So, maybe it is a combination of Spotify and BT?
Swapped my OnePlus 10 to OnePlus 13 back in January. Now with Android 15, there is no cover art at all.
Tried it with Audi, BMW, Skoda, VW.
Even the trick with pausing the song and resuming it doesn't work anymore.
App Version 9.0.22.543
Hello folks.
Something seems to have happened with the album cover display problem. Yesterday my Oppo Find X5 Pro was updated to Android 15, or in the case of Oppo to ColorOS 15.
As I had my Cupra Leon SP in the garage at the same time, I got a 2024 Seat Ibiza as a replacement car. The album cover display worked 100% in this car! When I picked up my car today, I was delighted to see whether it would also work on its system. And lo and behold, 90% of the album covers are now displayed! Unfortunately not yet for every song; you still have to pause the song briefly and play it again. But at least most of the album covers now appear immediately when you switch to the next song.
The currently installed Spotify version is the following: 9.0.24.601
I don't know what exactly has changed with the OS update on my Oppo for Bluetooth playback, but it seems to have been a good improvement.
Let's see what future updates bring.
Same issue iPhone 15, iOS 18.3.2, Tesla Model Y. Used to work fine a few months ago now broken always displaying previous album cover.
It’s actually sad how long this issue has persisted and hasn’t been fixed by now. No other app has this issue including YouTube music, YouTube. I’m 90% sure this is a Spotify issue and it seems like they either don’t care or can’t figure out how to fix it.

Art cover does not change. Artwork displays previous song. Can we please have a fix? I can confirm both Tidal and Apple music works fine. So this is a Spotify issue? Can someone confirm this is being looked at. Always something annoying with Spotify.
