after the update im able to use extreme quality on my free account

is this intentional?

Hey there @ryabys!

 

You shouldn't be able to unless you have a premium account. Can you verify you didn't get a subscription or trial here?

I got the 48 hour trial awhile back but that was months ago

and I still have that message telling me to get premium for ad free listening

 

according to that page, I have spotify free

Interesting! Can you provide a screenshot of the settings menu that shows you are using extreme quality (320kbps)? Are you allowed to do it on other clients or is it just the android client?

 

I'll escalate this issue to Spotify. If you can also provide the following information that'd be great :

Just tested on my PC

I am not able to use high quality streaming on my PC
