My Question or Issue

As of today my Spotify is telling me that i must be a premium subscriber to cast to my Google nest. Is this true or a bug? There was a similar bug in 2021.

Even if it's not necessary to have a Premium subscription to cast music on a Google nest, it may have some restrictions or limitations such as listening to ads. So to start investigating this issue, would you mind confirming if the behavior happens with every song you tried or if it's a specific one?

Also, could you confirm if you're trying to play the music using voice commands directly on your nest or if you're selecting it from the list of available devices on the app? If you have tried just one of those methods, we'd recommend using the other one to see if the issue persists.

Lastly, it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your Google Nest - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists.
