why cant we listen to more than one device at a time offline

I have downloaded my offline music but when my wife and i want to hear our offline music on our separate devices one will transfer to the other and only one device will play at a time. what can I do about this?

Get a Family membership.

The other option is to use two seperate accounts - the second one can be free.

If your music is downloaded, you can just switch to airplane-mode.

You both should now be able to listen different music on one account.

(but I'm not 100% sure if its really legal)

Thank you I didn't even think of that and it works my wife and I can now listen to two different songs on our separate devices while working around the property, I knew there had to be a way to keep the phone from communicating and that was it.
