Cannot get friend to add songs to collaborative playlist

Recently I created a new playlist, making it collaborative by inviting a collaborator. Even though I have made sure my playlist is public, my friend/collaborator is unable to add songs to the playlist.

Am missing something?

Any help appreciated 🙂

Additional information:

- I could not find a recent working solution on the support pages, in the community or online in general

- My friend does not have a paid account (which should not matter ?) but I as the creator of the playlist do

- The new playlist does not have all the options my older collaborative playlists do.

- The new playlist is not displayed with a "three people icon" in my playlist list as my older collaborative playlists do.

- Tried on Windows & Ubuntu Desktop app, Windows & Ubuntu Firefox and Android app
