Dangerous volumes with Spotify Connect

While I love Spotify connect for it's utility in controlling playback devices, the volume control slider (and use of volume keys on phone app) allows for some seriously dangerous volume increases on high powered devices.

I've set a volume limit for my amp, but only after most likely causing some hearing loss having music play into my ears at a painful level for a split second, caused by lag on the volume slider in the app.

Can I recommend the ability to turn off the Spotify connect volume control (or even turn it off by default), it doesn't seem like a complicated option to add and may save someone's hearing.
