Need to add duplicate songs for workout, but can’t! Why

I used to build playlists with an occasional duplicate song (to work the other side of my body/other leg etc) so I wouldn’t have to count out beats twice, now I can’t add the same song and have to stop and replay the song. Why is this? This is a big deal for me. I’d like that feature returned.
