Notifications for "liked" playlists added to my library

If I "like" another Spotify user's playlist (and add it to my library), based on my notification setting for "Playlist Updates" configured to get a notification if "a playlist [I] follow is updated," I would expect to get a notification when that user adds a song to the playlist I liked.

I am not getting a notification when that user adds a song to the playlist that I liked/added to my library. Is this the correct behavior?

Is there a difference between "liking" a playlist (and adding it to my library) and "following" a playlist? I don't see any option that mentions "follow" for a playlist - like there is for following other users. Thanks!

Spotify App Version:  8.6.30 on iOS 14.6 on iPhone 12 Pro.
