Spotify playback controls occasionally go missing

Recently my spotify playback controls go missing. If I Select a song, it will play, but I can't pause or seek through the track, etc. Also, playback will just stop after ten minutes or so. Force stopping the app temporarily fixes the issue.

This is happening to me too. Only comes back when I restart the phone but goes off again not long after. I'm wondering if it's since I updated it ? Spotify appear to be aware of it and someone posted "a fix" but I didn't understand it 😔

Same issue here, now even force close Spotify and restart won't fix this. Widget is not working too. I guess Spotify started hiring intern developers
