Unable to put playlists onto desktop

I have a severely  autistic son who loves his premium spotify i download playlists onto his tablet and so that he can find them when i have completed one i press the 3 dots and select the bottom option which allows you to put it on the desktop this option is no longer on the list i uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the advice of another site and problem has worsened the play lists that where there have all dissapeared so nothing now apart from the spotify icon this is going to cause alot of distress please can anyone help thank you
