customizeable start screen (NO PODCAST to appear there preferably)

Hi there, I was wondering why is there no option to just customize the starting screen. For example news about "this" and "that band" or listing an enire genre. I'd like any of those to have, but the biggest issue is seeing a sh*tload amount of podcasts, wich I personally dont listen and I have no intention of seeing them filling the screen whenever I open the app. Can we have customize ? pls ?

I think these are great suggestions as well, and there are currently are a couple of similar Live Ideas in the Idea Exchange:

• This idea for customizing the home screen 
• This idea for disabling or hiding podcasts entirely

If these ideas are something that you’re interested in, I would recommend adding your +VOTE to them (even though the current status for the first one is “Not Right Now”). The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
